About AICTE
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the national-level statutory body responsible for the planning, coordination, regulation and maintenance of standards in technical education throughout India. Established in November 1945, AICTE became a statutory organization through the AICTE Act, 1987. It works under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to promote quality technical education and support innovation, research and skill development.
