DEPARTMENT MESSAGE

Message from the Head of Department

The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 2012 and is approved by AICTE and MSBTE with an intake of 60 students.

Electrical Engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with the study, design and application of equipment, devices and systems which use both AC and DC electricity. The field also covers renewable energy, power electronics, electrical machines, control systems and electromagnetism.

The department regularly organizes industrial visits, technical expert talks and skill development programmes for students. These activities are designed to provide practical exposure and strengthen students’ understanding of core Electrical Engineering subjects.

Hands-on training workshops on software and engineering tools such as MATLAB and AutoCAD are arranged to enhance students’ practical and technical skills. Faculty members continuously guide students in selecting application-oriented projects based on recent trends and developments in Electrical Engineering.

Students of Electrical Engineering have ample career opportunities in both government and private sectors, including positions such as design engineer, maintenance engineer, testing engineer, energy manager, electrical supervisor, consultant and auditor.

Many graduates also pursue self-employment as electrical contractors and consultants. With the rapid growth of emerging technologies such as electric vehicles, renewable energy, smart grids and automation, Electrical Engineering is expected to offer significant career opportunities in India and abroad.
