MVPS’s Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Polytechnic, Nashik, Department of Mechanical Engineering successfully organized an Industrial Visit to Darna Hydro Power Plant-DLZ, Igatpuri, Nashik, on 11th September 2026.

The visit provided students with valuable practical exposure to the working and operation of a hydroelectric power plant. Students gained knowledge about hydraulic turbines, generators, water flow, power generation, and various plant components. The visit helped them connect their theoretical knowledge with actual power plant operations and understand the practical applications of mechanical engineering concepts.

The visit was coordinated by Mr. D. S. Dhondge & Mr. Y. M. Halde under the guidance of Mr. B. S. Deshmukh (HOD-ME) and Prof. Prashant Patil (Principal)
