The technical Quiz Competition event was held in our college on the 4th October 2024. These quizzes integrate the game mechanics into the learning process; they help students understand the weaker areas. Quizzes help students identify what they know and what they don’t know. The students then have a better idea of how well they are grasping the material, hopefully motivating them to study more and helping them allocate their study time effectively by focusing on the information that still needs more practice. A questioning teacher creates incentives for students to learn more. Teacher sets up effective and definite goals for learning; giving oral or written examination is a good incentive for the students to study harder or to do better work. Technical quizzes throughout the day can help teachers assess the effectiveness of their instruction, as well as student understanding of the concepts taught. Teaching is changing. Today, there is more focus placed on equality and welfare, and supporting students through their learning. Thankfully, the old way of ‘drill and kill’ has mostly gone by the wayside in favor of different teaching tools that are more effective at fostering a love of learning while reinforcing and consolidating skills. One of our favorite resources is quizzes. Not only are quizzes fun for students, they are also a sneaky form of learning as they don’t feel like a traditional activity. Quizzes can help students practice existing knowledge while stimulating interest in learning about new subject matter. It will also create a template of keywords and phrases for students to memories. Ten keywords or sentences is a lot easier to remember as a guide, and seems far less daunting than having to revise the whole topic. With this in mind, we conducted technical quiz on 19th September 2025 on Science, Mathematics and Technology subjects taught in this semesters. This time the activity was conducted in PPT pattern with rapid fire type of questions.
