ED-Cell, MVPS’s Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Polytechnic aims to induce an entrepreneurial mindset into the students and air an innovative streak in them. We are here to water the ‘Ideas’ in the bud and help them bloom into impactful endeavors through networking student enterprises from campus to incubators, seeding funds and angel investors to transform the newly proposed ideas into successful start-ups.
MVPS’s Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Polytechnic, Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), is initiated to promote entrepreneurship culture among the students by organizing entrepreneurship awareness camps; Business Plan Competition; “face to face” students-to-entrepreneurs programmes; guest lectures by successful entrepreneurs; faculty development programmes, thereby to sensitize the students and faculty members in the college regarding the importance of entrepreneurship in real life, corporate life and economic development of the country.
Objectives

- Motivate students for Entrepreneurship as a career,
- To organising various /seminars, workshops & Trainings
- Identify and apply for various funding opportunities, tie ups with various agencies like MCED to promote various activities etc.

ED-Cell organises a variety of events throughout the year to promote entrepreneurial activities in and around the campus. Our Events like Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC), Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Technology Based Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP) and Start-up Master Class take the learning to a whole new level. E-Cell also conducts various lectures and workshops focussed at budding entrepreneurs.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS CAMP (EAC)
An Expert lecture was organized for our third year students of RSM Polytechnic
Mr.Parag Gawai was invited as the expert lecturer and he explained the students about the Entrepreneurship Development. He explained all importance of Entrepreneurship Development. He told students about Entrepreneur, different schemes of MCED, different business sector for diploma students.

Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights
A guest lecture was organized for the students of third year Electronics & Telecommunication, Information Technology, Computer Technology, Mechanical Engineering & Electrical Engineering at seminar hall. Mr. Parag Khedkar was invited as the guest lecturer and he explained the students about the Intellectual Property Rights. He also explained types of intellectual property well-known types are copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
He highlighted over some points like main purpose of intellectual property law, patents &patent law, objects of Intellectual property rights etc.It was really wonderful session and students also interacted and participated enthusiastically.

MVPS’s RSM Polytechnic organized Guest Lecture on “Start-Ups and Intellectual Property Awareness Program” through online mode. Mr. Abhijit Bhand Sir, Founder and CEO of Kanadlab Institute of intellectual Property and Research gives brief Information about What are the Start-Ups Policies, How to do Registration for new Start Ups, Whom to be called for registration of start-ups, How to get Innovative Ideas, Trademarks, process of Trademarks, patents, Definition of Intellectual Property, Classification, Rules of Property Rights.
