A guest lecture on “How to Use First Aid” was held at NDMVP’s Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Polytechnic, Nashik, on 24th March 2025. The event was organized by the Science and Humanity Department. First-year students from the Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Department participated in this informative session.
The session, conducted by Dr. Vishwanath Jatkar (Medicine Resident, MBBS,GMC Nagpur MD Medicine – Dr. Vasantrao Pawar Medical College, Nashik), provided valuable insights into first aid treatment for emergency situations. Topics covered included: The aim of first aid and the role of a first aider Incident management the contents of a first aid kit CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) The recovery position The chain of survival Common medical conditions and their first aid responses
Additionally, Dr. Jatkar provided hands-on training on basic injury dressing techniques, enhancing the practical understanding of first aid.
